First solo at church in a while

I haven’t written much here musicwise since the blog started. That’s because there hasn’t been a whole lot to write about. For those that don’t know me well, I sing in the Chapel Praise Choir at The Peoples’ Church in Franklin, TN. At times they are kind enough to let me get up and do a solo. Well, I ‘ve got a great solo this Sunday (9/27). It’s a song called “It’s Still The Cross”. It’s an absolutely beautiful song. It may be one of my favorite songs I’ve been assigned a solo on yet. Here is a sample on youtube That version is a quartet version rather than full choir version but you’ll get the idea.

I’m a bit nervous because I haven’t had a solo in a while. But I am excited to be allowed to help lead worship with such a beautiful song. I wish someone would record it. I’d love to hear it played back.
